Privacy policy
This page explains what we do with the details you send us. In short, we only use them to reply to you and to look after your booking, and we never sell them or pass them on for marketing.
Who we are
Counter Coffee is run by Counter Coffee Ltd, registered in Scotland (company number SC859767), registered office 6 Atholl Crescent, Perth, PH1 5JN. We're responsible for your personal information. If you have any questions, email damien@counter-coffee.com.
What we collect
When you fill in our enquiry form we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your company or organisation, and the details of your event (type, date, guest numbers, hours, venue, anything you add in the message). If you email us or message us on Instagram, we'll have whatever you send there too.
If you go on to book, we'll also keep the details we need to deliver the event and invoice you, such as billing contact and address.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and send you availability and a quote.
- To plan and deliver your event if you book.
- To send invoices and keep the business records we're legally required to keep.
We use your details because you've asked us for a quote or booked with us, and to meet our legal obligations, such as keeping accounts. We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing.
Who else sees it
We don't sell or share your details with anyone for their own use. A few services we rely on handle them for us:
- Cloudflare, which counts visits to this website anonymously (see below).
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the enquiry form. Netlify is based in the United States and protects data sent there with the safeguards UK law requires.
- Our email provider, which holds the emails we send and receive.
- Our accountant, for invoices and business records.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry doesn't turn into a booking, we delete it within 12 months. If you book, we keep booking and invoice records for six years, because the law requires businesses to keep financial records for that long.
Cookies and visitor statistics
This website doesn't use any tracking, advertising or analytics cookies, so there's no cookie banner. To see how many people visit and which pages they look at, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you or follow you around the internet. It just gives us anonymous totals, like the number of visits, the type of device and the country.
Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which means Google sees your device's internet address when the page loads, as it does for most websites. Our latest Instagram posts are shown using a service called Behold, which loads the photos from its own servers. Links to Instagram take you to Instagram's own site, where its own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email damien@counter-coffee.com and we'll sort it out as soon as possible, and within a month at the latest.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
